    1. How long a lead in time for formal request do you ask for as the Lender? UK & Overseas
    2. How much notice can you realistically give as the Borrower?

Asked in the context of the pressures on us all to do as much/more with less.

    Hi Barbara

I recently (dec 2022) looked up all the other major UK institutions websites to see what the norm was for loan requests as we were considering moving from 6 months for UK and 12 months for international to 9 months for UK and 12 months for international. We’ve now changed to 9 and 12 months. I’ve got a spreadsheet of about 30 institutions detailed on it. Happy to share if you want to email me on my UKRG corporate email.

I’ve also done a lot of work recently on capacity for loans registrar and we now have strict limit of how many loans we can manage annually. I would be interested to see if anyone else has found a good way of measuring capacity.
