Conference & Events Programme

Think Smart!

Nothing endures but change, and a big change is currently spreading across Europe with regard to reform within public services, especially museums.  This conference will examine, through lectures and debates, how Registrars and Collections Managers can cope with changes to their current working practices, and inspire new thought and ideas on ways to deal with a new mode of working, and how to move forward.  There are four central themes:

  • Reform in Museums and new Governance models
The implications, its affect on standards, and a look at new governance models.
  • Sharing Information and Objects
Partnership is the new buzz word, but how do we embrace this.
  • Income Generation
Examining how Commercial and Independent Galleries generate income, plus examining enterprise exhibitions, loan fees, joint ventures.
  • Moral and Practicable Considerations
A chance to air your views and openly discuss all of the above and what the implications may be.

Please contact Jeff Dunn or Therese Dolan for more information.
